Elder A. L. Harrison

Elder A. L. Harrison, a faithful minister of the Primitive Baptist church of Front Royal, died at hi$ home oh Cloud Street at £ :3V Friday evening, February 9. He was a faithful minister for nearly 64 years.

His funeral was at thp Primitive Baptist church in Front Royal and a large crowd of his church folk and friends were there. There were eight Primitive Baptist ministers, Elders C. E." Frasier, William' Fletcher, F. E.. Thompson, Leonard S. Dove, C. W. Miller, J. Harvey Daily, Emory Alderton. F. W. Alderton, together with Rev. Roscoe Johnson of the Methodist church, who took part in the funeral services. He was laid to rest in the Prospect Hill cemetery at Front Royal.

He is survived by his wife, four children, his sister, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildrep, besides a host of friends. —Contributed by Elder Daily.

Joseph Mahoney, 61.

Joseph Smith Mahoney, 61, died Sunday morning at his home at Chester Gap. He had been in failing health for a number of years.

Born in Rappahannock, a son of the late John and Kate Williams Mahoney, Mr? Mahoney is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Elliott— Mahoney, two sons and two daughters, Daniel and Raymond Maho- ‘ ney of Chester Gap, Mrs. Viola Heslep of Front Royal, and Mrs. Annabella Mahoney of Huntly; two brothers and two sisters, Harrison and Johnny Mahoney, and Mrs. Sam North of Huntly, and Mrs. Cecil Lowery of Rockville, Md. Also surviving are five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held, op Tuesday with the Rev. Jol\n Fitxhugh officiating. Interment was in the Williams family grave yard.

Graveside rites -for the late Walker Jackson Dodson of Flint Hill were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock" in the Masonie cemetery, Washington. The Rev. Warren Corbin officiated^

Mr. Dodson, well known farmer of the Flint Hill community,, died Friday evening in Warren Memorial hospital, Front Royal.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Dodson, and six sons' and a daughter, SjSgt. David Walker Dodson of Cocoa, Fla., William, Charles, Adren, Thomas, and Lade, Dodson, and Miss Linsey Dodson, all of Flint Hill. Also surviving are a brother, Hunter Dodson of Woodville, two half-brothers, Bailey Berry of Luray and Adren Berry; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Dodson of Edinburg; two . halfsisters, Mrs. Josie Gaines of Culpeper, and Mrs.* Monie Dodson of s Sperryville; a grandchild .and a ' number of nieces and nephews. *
