Saturday I* Poppy Day
In Rappahannock
At its regular meeting, May 21, the Rappahannock Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, voted to set May 26 as Poppy Day. It is hoped that all who are contacted will buy a poppy and contribute something to the general cause. Receipts from these sales are used to help needy veterans, and especial-* ly for wounded and handicapped men. Don’t ft»rget these fellows who have done so much for you.
On Decoration Day members of the Rappahannock Post will place markers on the graves of deceased members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization. This will be done in different areas of the county and all graves will be marked in the near future. Please notify Carson Johnson or James Atkins at Sperryville if there is a member of yol*r family, or some friend, whose last resting place should have one of these markers. This will be done for all veterans whether they were killed in the service or have since died of natural causes. *
All members are requested to attend the next regular meeting June 4, at the V.F.W. Hall.
