Picnic Today
The entire high school will hold a picnic at Old Hickory Tea Room in Culpeper today (Thursday, May 24). Buses will leave in the morning and return before the closing of school in the afternoon.

Commencement exercises will be held Wednesday, June 6, at 8 p.m.

“Reddy Kilowatt” has a new telephone number: Sperryville2535.
V. H. Rossen, representative of the Northern Virginia Power Company, has announced this ciiange for the benefit of people having to call him when something happens to the electricity and they need him.
Mr. Rossen gets his nickname of “Reddy Kilowatt” from the company’s advertising and the little electrical character who is the trade mark. The picture of the character appears on the side of the truck ‘Reddy Kilowatt’ drives. It is a little red, lightning-bodied man with a light-bulb head and .nose. (No resemblance whatsoever to Mr. Rossen.)
