Entertain At Bridge
Mr. and Mrs. David Corbin entertained Saturday evening at their home in Flint Hill at a buffet supper and bridge. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. H. 5. , Winfrey, Mi. and Mrs. Locket Burford and Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Burford were awarded the prizes.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie McGehee entertained Saturday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hoffman who are making their home in Front Royal but are moving to Portsmouth. Mrs. McGehee presented Mrs. Hoffman with an orchid. Guests playing (were Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Moore, Miss Nancy Moore, and Lide Dearing. Mr. and Mrs. Moore were awarded top score prizes.

If we could read the minds of these boys what would we find Boys that come to us to learn our way of farming, from a war-torn country. Wonder if they don’t ask the question, what do these people really know of war, where homes are burned, families killed. We were sitting in comfortable homes in America while their country was being destroyed. Will the scars heal on the hearts of these boys and their families, or will they remain with them always?
