A play, “Hen Pecked Husband" will be presented at Flint Hill School, Thursday, May 31 at 8 p.m. Admission: adults 35c; children 15c.
Square Dance Friday Night
There will be a square dance at the Washington School Friday night, May 25, at 8 p.m. Music by The Huffman Brothers. Everyone is invited to come. Admission: Adults 35c; children 20c.
Choir Festival
The junior choir of the First Baptist church will sponsor a choir festival Sunday afternoon, May 27 at 3:30. Public is cordially invited.
Music Festival At School Draws Large Crowd
The Music Festival at the Washington School was largely attended. After, the festival the school had an exhibit. The following articles were made by the pupils during the school year: crochet doilr ies, rag rugs, stockings, embroidery rugs, pot holders, mats, crochet handbags, print figures, and linoleum prints.
Birthday Party
J. L. Carter celebrated his birthday with a surprise party at his homer May 22, given by Mrs. Carter. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Joe Richardson of Philadelphia, Mrs. Blanche Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Carter, Mrs. John M. Barbour, Mrs. Flossie Bruyning, Mrs. Janie Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Carter and grandson, and Mrs. Kedrick Roberts.
