Met Last Thursday
The W.S.C.S. of the Washington Methodist church met with Miss Ethel Jenkins and Mrs. Clarence Racer Thursday night with sixteen members, four visitors and one new member, Mrs. Rhoda Pullen.
Mrs. Edna Walker had charge of the worship program “We Would See Jesus, The Great Physician”, assisted by Rev. N. J. Flythe, Mrs. Mabel Racer, Mrs. Grace Reid, Mrs. Jessie Rowzie and Mrs. Ada Updike.
The business meeting was held and it was decided to have a Parcel Post Sale late in June.
Mrs. Ora Ramey had the program “I Too Shall Give”, a pledge service. Those taking part were Mrs. Mabel Racer, Mrs. Jack Petty, Mrs. Beverly Armel, Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, Mrs. Grace Reid, Miss Ethel Jenkins, Mrs. Grace Weaver and Mrs. F. E. Comptor^.
Rev'. N. J. Flythe explained the chart on Visitation Evangelism which was most interesting.
After the program a social hour honoring Mrs. Lester Burke, who leaves the 26th for England, to be with her parents for a three months’ visit, was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Burke was presented with a love gift from members of the Society, and also one to take her mother, who visited here last year.
