Mre. T. T. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Taylor, Thomas and Jack Taylor of Dudn Loring, spent the week end at “Linger Longer,” their country home near Sperryville.
Mr. and Mrs. Soy Coates of Philadelphia, and Charles Coates, who has recently accepted a position in Philadelphia, spent the week end at the Lee Highway Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Baker of Parkersburg, W. Va., visited friends and relatives in the county last week. Mrs, Baker was before her marriage Miss Virginia Coates.
Rev. and Mrs. M. E. Sliger were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Turner.
Following the regular appointment at Thornton Gap church on Saturday and Sunday, Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily attended the Union meeting at Thumb Run. Elder R. P. Vass of North Carolina was a guest last week in the home of Elder and Mrs. Daily who accompanied him to Front Royal where he was guest speaker in Happy Creek Primitive Baptist church. On Tuesday Elder and Mrs. Daily spent the day in Front Royal and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Woodard.
