Mary Broadus Oden
Graveside services were held 'Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.jn. in Remington cemetery for 'Miss Mary Broadus Oden, a native^ of Rappahannock county, who died at her home in Washington, D. C., after a brief illness.
Miss Oden, 83, was the daughter <sf Philip Oden and Mrs. Sarah Carder Oden of Flint Hill. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. R. A. Fifield, and a nephew, Dr. Philip Oden of Ronceverte, West Va.

Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Moore entertained a group of friends at bridge Monday evening. Among the guests ware Mrs. Earl Edmonds, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Mc. Gehee, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Wood, Mr. and Mrs, John S. Browning, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Cook, Miss Nancy Moors, and Lide Dearing. Prises were awarded B. J. Wood, traveling; Mr. and Mrs. John 8. Browning, first for ladies and men.
