The Rev. John Adkerson, of Luray, will conduct a special service on Friday night, at 8 o’clock, October 17 at the Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church, 4 miles east of Sperryville on route 211. This service is conducted in the interest of the public, featuring beautiful, colored slides made by Rev. Adkerson while on his recent tour of the West Indies. He spent several weeks engaged in Missionary activities on the Islands of the Carribbean including Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rica.
