Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Wilkins arid daughters, Barbara Ann and Connie of Norfolk were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar at their home in Jenkins Hollow. Mrs. Annie Gore Bruce who has been in Madison with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Blankenbaker for some time *is at “Jackson Hill” for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce. Miss Joan Kelly Aylor, who has been recuperating at the home of her parents,' Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor from injuries sustained in an automobile accident two months ago, has resumed her position in D. C. Dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. Nodes Brown were Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson and daughter, Ann Rodes, Mr. and Mrs. Nodes Brown Jr. and daughter, Susan.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Payne, who returned from a southern wedding trip Saturday, were ovefnight guests

Mrs. J. Rodes Brown was hostess to the Susan Wood Missionary Society of the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church on Wednesday evening with six members present. Mrs. A. Paul Thompson led the program from the topic, “The Beginning of Christianity.”

Lackland, situated near San. Antonio, is the world’s largest air force base, site of Air Force basic training, for men and women headquarters of the Human Resource Research Center, and home of AF’s Officer Candidate School.

His basic training is preparing him for entrance into Air Force technical training and for assignment in specialized work. The course includes a scientific evaluation of his aptitude and inclination for following a particular vocation and career.
