Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Barksdale attended the Methodist Conference in Norfolk last week.

Miss Ouida Tanner of Criglersville was a weekend guest of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Dulaney. **Mrs. J. B. Williams and daughter, Miss Minnie ‘Williams were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Smith.

Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. C B. Wood were Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell and Mrs. Dudley Wood.

Mr. and Mrs. Pat Carrington and son, Dan of Arlington were Sunday guests of Mrs. John R. Moore.

Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Griffith and family, Linda and Jimmy of Front Royal were supper guests Sunday of Mrs. Jdhn R. Moore.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Burke and son, “Butch” and Misses Marion and Margaret Jenkins were Sunday visitors in Flint Hill. „

BRIDGE PARTY

Mrs. George L. Taylor entertained the bridge club and additional guests at “Grandview” on Friday night. Those invited were Mrs. Thomas J. Pillar, Mrs. John P. Snead, Mrs., R. G. Quaintance, Mrs. D. Lyle Miller, Mrs. Charles Estes, Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs. R. E. Thompson, Mrs. P. Lee Thornton, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. L. J. Kilby, Mrs. I. R. Kill*yx Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr,Mrs. C. H. H. Branch, Mrs. Frankey Menefee, Mrs. H. C. Warwick, Mrs. Fred Schaefe'r and house guest, Mrs. H. O. Johnson. High score prize for members was won by Mrs. Snead. High for guests went to Mrs. Estes. Traveling went to Mrs. Miller and low wrent to Mrs. I. R. Kilby. Following the games the hostess served a delicious salad course.
