Wade H. Massie is quite sick with an infected throat at his home, “Hampden Hall."

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Greffett of Baltimore were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Turner.

B. R. Cox of Pittsburg spent the weekend with his family at Washington.

Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Parker of Philadelphia were week-end guests of Mr. Parker’s aunt, Mrs. John A. Keyser.

Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, Mrs. A. M. Verner and Mr. and Mrs Virgil Updike visited Miss Margaret Compton on Sunday, who is a patient in the Winchester Memorial Hospital.

Roscoe Bishop visited his mother, Mrs. Rosie Bishop on Sunday and carried her back to his home in Arlington. While there, Mrs. Bishop will have a physical examination.

Among those who attended the Virginia—George Washington football game in Charlottesville on Saturday were C. J. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. R. V/ Snead, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Jones and family, Becky, Sieger and Ned Moffett. Mrs. Harold G. Brown of Winchester visited Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller on Sunday. Mrs. Brown was enroute to Richmond where she will attend a business meeting of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Episcopal Church with the Bishop presiding. ' Dr. and Mrs. Jimmy Hughes of Richmond were visitors in the county Friday and Saturday.
