Parsonage Fund
The members of the Amissville Baptist Church realizing the need of a parsonage have begun plans for the building of such. Since funds will be needed, one Sunday each quarter will be designated as “Parsonage Fund Day.” A goal of $1,000 has been set for November 2 which will be the first “Fund Day.” The committee is '•j working hard to contact each and every member to explain to them the plan and to give them an opportunity ot contribute. They hope to reach or even exceed the goal by each doing his part.
In connection with this drive a Thanksgiving dinner will be served at the Amissville Baptist Youth Center with a bazaar being held there at the same time. All proceeds from which will go into the parsonage fund. Any donations of articles for the bazaar -or food for the dinner will be greatly appreciated.
WS.C.S. MEETING
The W.S.C.S. of the Washington Methodist Church met Friday, October 17, at 7:30 p.m. with Mrs. J. S. Weaver. There, were 16 members and 2 visitors, Mrs. Lena Ws^land and Miss Julia Mae Atkins, present. Mrs. Jessie Rowzie was program leader with'other members 4» taking part.
