Democratic Women Voters

Mrs. Dorothy C. Davis, Mayor of Washington, recently appointed by the local chairmon as Democratic vice-chairman, has announced a Rappahannock County Campaign Committee with the purpose to “bring-out-the-vote” in the coming election.

City papers carried announcements that Mayor Davis would campaign on a state-wide basis, but she states that her knowledge was like the “news of an errant husband—the wife is always last to know,” and she had read in the papers of the announcement by the women’s campaign headquarters. Up to now, the news she has read is the extent of her knowledge concerning any campaigning outside the county.

Hickman, Mrs. George Wood, and Mrs. Carson Anderson; Piedmont district, Mrs. Randolph Devers, Mrs. Virginia Lewis, and Mrs. Clinton Clater; Wakefield district, Mrs. Frank Carey; Jackson district, Mrs. A. C. Latham, Mrs. A. C Latham, Jr.; Stjonewall district, Mrs. Carrie M. Hall. Hawthorne District, Mrs. Harry Gallihugh.'
