The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length wedding gown. The top was of lave •over taffeta, fashioned with a double peter pan colar and short cap sieves. The skirt of nylon tulle was finely pleated with a peplum hipline. She wore elbow length lace mitts and lace pumps. Her shoulder length veil of illusion was held in place by a tiara of white roses. Her only ornament was a strand of pearls, a gift of thegroom. She carried a wliite orchid on a'Bible with white streamers entwined with Baby’s Breath.
Mrs. James Maloney, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Margaret Meredith Morrow, sister of the groom, was the maid of honor. They wore ballerina gowns of tuscan rose and sage green, respectively..The.gowns were of satin and nylon tulle fashioned with portrait, necklines and full gathered skirts. They wore hats and mits to match the gowns and carried nosegays of white carnations.
The groom chose as his best man his brother-in-law, C^cil Bauserman. Serving as ushers were James Maloney and Walter Krachun (U.S. Navy.)
The bride’s mother wore a navy blue suit with nhvy and wrhite accessories and a shoulder corsage of pink roses. The groom’s mother wore a black street dress with matching acessories and a shoulder corsage of red roses.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the social room of the church. Mrs. Ralph Overstreet presided at tHe punch bowl, and Mrs. Everett Hubbard served the wedding cake.
The young couple left for a wedding trip to New York and Canada. The bride chose for traveling a purple suit with beige accessories and an orchid corsage.
Mrs. Morrow is a graduate of Warren County High School and is now employed as the secretary at the school. Mr. Morrow attended Warren County High School and is now a Storekeeper, 2nd Class, U. S. Navy, aboard the’ U. S. S. Wyandot, at present stationed in Norfolk.
Mr. and Mrs. Morrow, will reside at their apartment at 18 l.ee Street, Front Royal. .*
Mrs. Morrow lived "'n Rappahannock County for a number of years attending Sperryville High School.
During the week preceding the wedding, Mrs. Morrow was showered with many useful gifts. Mrs. James Maloney had a linen shower ; the Ladies of the Marlow Heights Church had a miscellaneous shower; and Mrs. A. S. Morrow and daughters had a miscellaneous shower. The choir of the church had a surprise party at which time she received a lovely set of dishes. Rev. and Mrs. Henry Lee Foster entertained the bridal party and immediate families on Friday night.
