Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Johnson were Mr. and Mrs. Austin Compton of Falls Church, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. White of Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kuewitt, who are enroute from Barton, Vermont to their winter home in St. Cloud, Florida, stopped over for a few days -visit last week with their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schaefer. Mrs. Annie Taylor Bruce is in Front Royal for a visit with her sons and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. George Mitchell of Richmond who were enroute to Minnapolis, Minnesota stopped over on Friday for a visit with their relatives, Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman and Mrs. Mary C. Brown.
News has been received that Miss Nettie Bontz has fallen in her home in Gaithersburg, Md. and broken a bone in her left hand. Miss Bontz who makes frequent visits to Miss Ebba Hitt and sisters is remembered here by a host of friends who will regret this misfortune.
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Weddle and Rodes Brown Sr., spent the weekend in Blacksburg and attended home-coming at VPI.
Miss Majorie Snead went to Waynesboro on Sunday to see her niece, Betty Lewis Snead, who is a student at Fairfax Hall Jr. College.
