Honored At Luncheon
Mr. and Mrs. James W. Fletcher entertained at a luncheon Saturday at their home, “Thornton Hill," in honor of Judge J. R. Hi Alexander. Guests present were Mrs. Alexander an^ daughter, Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead, Judge and Mrs. B. M. Miller, Miss Ruth Stevens, James M. Settle, Robert L. Brown, Mrs. Robert L. Massie, Mrs. George H. Davis Jr., Mr. and Mrs. George Mtith, A. C Latham, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Buck* tier Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Baggarly, Edward Estes and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Moffett Jr. After luncheon Judge Snead presented a silver tray to Mrs. Alexander, who accepted on behalf of the judge who was absent because of illness. The tray, a gift from the members of the Rappahannock Bar, elective county officials and those appointed by the court, was given as a token of appreciation for Judge Alexander's valuable services rendered in the county during his term of office.
