Mr. and Mrs. Lewis J. Turner had as their dinner guests on Sunday the Rev. David Menchhofer, Mrs. J. Frank Jones and Mrs. John A. Keyser.

afternoon their relatives, Mrs. James G. Brown, Mrs. Bartow B. Brown, of “The Orchards” and Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller of “Maple Springs.” Mr. and Mrs. Brown were enroute to their home in Winchester from Charleston, S. C, where they spent a two-week vacation. The Browns were guests Saturday night of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Mathews of Front Royal and returned home on Sunday.
Mrs. Robert Petersen and daughter, Susan who have been on an extended visit to Mrs. Petersen’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Settle and other relatives in the county, left on Thursday to join Lt. Petersen, who is now stationed in California. They were luncheon guests on Thursday of their aunt, Mrs. Henry Miller of Washington, D. C. In the afternoon the • Petersens left by plane to visit Lt. Petersen’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Petersen of Chicago; from there they will fly to California to join Lt. Petersen.
