NOTICE We, the undersigned, James W. Fletcher, Chairman, and W. C. Armstrong, Jr., Secretary of the Democratic Senatorial District Committee for the 24th Senatorial District of Virginia, comprising the Countiep of Patge, Rappahannock, Rockingham, and Warren, tand the City of Harrisonburg, do hereby certify that the following is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted at a meeting of the said Committee, (held at the Mimslyn Hotel, Luray, Page County, Virginia, on the 31st dhy of March, 1953 “Resolved that the nomination of the Candidate of the Democratic Party for the office of Member of the State Senate of Virginia from the 24th Senatorial District, being comprised of the Counties, of Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, and Warren and the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia, to be voted upon in the General Election to be held in said Senatorial District on November 2, 1953, shall be by direct Primary method, and that the Primary for the nomination of said Democratic Candidate for said office shall be held on July 14, 1953, pursuant to the provisions of the State Primary Law, and that all candidates for said office slmll file their declaration of candidacy with James W. Fletcher, Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial District Committee for the 24th Senatorial District of Virginia, Sperryville, Virginia, at least ninety (90) days before the said Primary to be held on July 14, 1953, and that if«not more than one candidate files for said position, he he declared the Democratic nominee of the 'Party for the Senate of Virginia from the aforesaid District.” JAMES W.
