Mrs. Will Stevens Jenkins was attacked early Tuesday morning as she was about her duties at her farm home. She fought off the large cat, and when she succeeded in throwing the animal away from her into the road, Mr. Jenkins shot it Dr. Quaintance, at Slate Mills, reported that Mrs. Jenkins’s face had pieces of flesh bit out, as well as long gashes. He stated that it took about an hour and a half to repair the damage and sew up the torn flesh.
The doctor advised Mr. Jenkins to take the animal immediately to Luray and have tests made for rabies. Mr. Jenkins had the cat in the back of the truck.
The Nichdlson home and the Jenkins-home are about six miles apart, located on the road through from F. T. Valley to Jenkins Hollow. This distance would be easy moving for a cat of the siae lolled by Mr. Jenkins, and k is assumed that die one wildcat did both jobs of attacking.

Mr. and Mrs. D. Lyle Miller Jr., of Washington, have been elected to membership in the American Abrdeen Anbus Breeders’ Association at Chicago, announces Secretary Frank Richards.
Mr. and Mrs. Miller were among the three purebred Aberdeen-Angus breeders elected from Virginia during the past month to membership in the organization.
