Dog Vaccination
The regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors met Wednesday, April 1, with W. C. Campbell, presiding with five members. J. P. Coot was absent. . ~ All bills were presented and authorized to be paid. Chairman Wt C. Campbell suggested that it be advisable to have all dogs that were not vaccinated last spring and those becoming 4 months of age this spring vaccinated. Mr. Campbell stated that all information he could secure proved that this method was the best to eliminate rabies in the county. After a discussion it was decided that the Board members would try and secure the sentiment of the public. The board thought last year’s vaccination of dogs was a success. P. D. 2. New road addition in Jackson District, road route 613, .4 mi. E. of intersection 211 and 613 N. approximately 1 % miles. Those requests will be considered and decided at a later meeting. Guy Burke appeared before the hoard to request a raise of $10 per month in his salary, which was approved.
Front Royal Sale Cancelled
The annual field day and bull sale, scheduled for April 8 at the Front Royal branch of VPI Agricultural Experiment Station has been cancelled.
George Litton, head of the VPI animal husbandry repartment, says however, that results of the bull feeding work wll be published around the middle of April when the test is officially ended. The bulls usually sold at the event are those figuring in the testis, and results are ordinarily released at that time.
