State Senator Curry Carter, of Staunton, has been renamed chairman of th^ Board of Visitors, Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind, according to an announcement in a recent issue of The Staunton NewsLeader, Senator Carter is the brother of Mrs. Moffett, of Washington, and uncle of Commonwealth Attorney .William F. Moffett, Jr.
GARDEN CLUB MEETING *•
The Rappahannock Garden Gub met at the home of Mrs. W. C. Hall, March 25. Plans were made for a Plant Sale to be held in May. The pansy plants which the Garden Gub is selling are ready now and if anyone wants any, please contact Mrs. S. E. Hening or Mrs. E. M. Jones. [,» Shenandoah District meeting will Joe held April 18 at the Nature Camp. The State Convention will be > held in Richmond, May 18, 19, and 20th at John Marshall Hotel.
The Club was invited to exhibit in Luray Flower Show to be held April 17 in Luray.
The judging resulted as follows:
