The proposed 10c levy to be set aside for a school building sinking funds will once more bring to the •* front the deplorable condition that some of our school structures have fallen heir to. Me, it reminds of the firetrap that the school in Flint Hill, is in, unquestionably. It makes me shiver to .think, of a fire breaking out there, of the panic, which would fill the small auditorium, and flow down the steep stairs, and push through the stuffy halls. A lot of adjectives in one sentence, you say. If only .they were descriptive enough to picture the horror that a fire would bring. Moving enough to make some one forget his pocket book. . ,

The dances which the Rescue ’ Squad sponsor the first Friday of, every month, are about to go the way of many similar undertakings. Yes, tliey too may soon be forsaken because of the trouble which cropps up at each and every dance. It seems a pity that a.clean form of entertain4. ment such as this has to be given up. It is a pity. A pity that there are always individuals willing to start a fight and even more who are ever -ready to jump in, once one is started. ‘ A pity that such persons are. Jiot hesitant to start a fight for fear the law will curb their “fun.”
