Mrs. Buntin said that locally, the situation is this: Aid to Dependent Children, 18 cases, a decrease of 19 over January, 1954; Old Age Assist ance, 41 cases, down 3 over January; Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled, up 1 from 17 cases in January; General Relief, down 3 cases from 8 in January; Aid to the Blind the same; Foster, down 2 cases from 8 in January and Aid to the” Blind, the same.
April 10 Final Date For Placing Dogwood Orders
The goal on April 12th is for every’ citizen in the Town of Washington to plant a dogwood on his or her property. If you do not have a dogwood to plant and do not have anyone to plant it for you the 4-H’ers and Future Farmers of America will be appy to bring you ofte and set it out for you. Tere will be no charges—go to the telephone NOW and place your request with Miss Ruby Jenkins, 2231 or 2751 and she will see —your name is placed on the list.-~
The boys will be assisted and under the supervision of Roy Heltzel, assistant county agent; Frederick Hutchinsgn, Vocational Agricultural Instructor; and William Vernon, State Forest. So without a doubt wq know these boys will do a good job.
