MrS. H. J. Racer, who was called to Washington (because of the illness of her daughter, Mrs. William Curtis, whose condition has much improved) has returned to her home. While Mrs. Racer was in Washing-, ton, D. C., her son-in-law, R. J. Biedler suffered a serious head injury as a result of an accident while on duty in the Navy Yard. Mr. Biedler was taken to Providence hospital for treatment. After spending several days there he returned to her homei in D. C. to recuperate.

Miss Paula Miller was an overnight guest Friday of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Downing Wood.
