A memDer reported uiai W. Fletcher had asked if the Auxiliary would like to serve food at the Wade Jenkins Sale to be held June 11 in the vicinity of Woodville. It was suggested that this project not be accepted as (1) the sale was too near the time of the Brown Sale, and it would cause difficulties in asking for contributions; (2) it was quite a distance, to carry the drinks, ice, etc; and , (3) the sale was rather “out of. ''our territory” and should be offered to a more local, more convenient organization.
Mrs, Wade H. Massie brought before the auxiliary the suggestion of having a Home Carnival sponsored entirely by the Ladies. This suggestion met much approval. Following enthusiastic discussion, the motion was made to have a called meeting to make complete plans for such a “Ladies Home Carnival,” to be held late this month. (June.)
Mrs. Reid made a motion that the Auxiliary send cards to Mrs. Wade Pullen expressing sympathy at the death of her father; and to Mrs. Cox, the president, wishing her a speedy recovery."
