The Scrabble School had its closing exercises on May 31 at 8 j pjn. All of the children participated in the Exercises. A large crowd attended the exercises. The following children completed the Seventh Grade at Scrabble School and will be ready to attend Carver next fall: Georgia Timbers, Ruth Williams, Jean F. Peyton, Richard Lewis and McKinley Carpenter. These students were among the 'highest ranking students in the county.
There will be a church dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Barbour, Sunday,. June 12, beginning at 12 noon. Benefit of church rally. $1.00 out, for your chicken dinner, vegetables, salad and pie.
Rev. Philip Baltimore of Mt. -Morris, Hume, and his choir will render services at First Baptist Church, June 26 at 3:30 p.m., sponsored by Mrs. John Barbour.
The First Baptist Usher Board will meet in the home of Mrs. Francis Carter, June 15 at 8 p.m.
