The Rappahannock Chiefs cleared $431 on the carnival sponsored by them last week on the George Wood lot.
Cold weather and rain made the crowds small, but “Saturday night' , fever” drew a crowd who scorned die cold to ride the whip and eat the sticky apples with gusto;
The Chiefs wish to thank all those 'who took part in the carnival, both those who worked in the stands and those who supported .the Chiefs by their presence.
Few of us mind being bossed provided the boss peys well for the privilege.
