Annual Barbecue Sunday At Long Mountain
Miss Helen Fuller entertained Sunday at her home on Long Mountain near Washington with her annual apple butter boiling and barbecue luncheon. Her 80-odd guests were mostly from the Washington, D. C. area with others frond California, Idaho and Texas. Both the apple butter and pork were cooked all bight oyer an open fire out of doors. The view from the mountain top of the surrounding countryside on the clear crisp day gave the appetites of all present an added zest for the locally grown pork and apples.
Sunday overnight guests were Mrs. Verta Barnes and Mrs. Veronica Keating of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Evie Chavor of Tampa, Fla.
Mrs. Melvyn Douglas arrived from California on Friday and is spending this week as a guest of Miss Fuller. Tuesday night they were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Harris in Huntly.
