When we relate ourselves to the crisis events in our world with the understanding that God’s will is to be known to all ages surely we can not rule out a willingness to live The Old Testament course on T.V. each Saturday morning has attempted to underscore the Hebrew’s concrete concept of God in the current events of his day. From that course comes the following story. A submarine was submerged and unable to rise. It bad capsized and in spite of frantic efforts rescue was impossible. Eventually the only communication the outside world had with the submarine was the tapping against its surface. The last message slowly tapped out was “Is there any hope?” This is what people are asking today. From the word of God for the family of God let it be made clear that there is hope because God has acted in history. For each of us today let us underscore the fact that there is hope because God is acting in history.
