Dad took me out to a field and told me to plow it one day. He taught me the basic moves, such as breaking around the end op the line and then left. Did I ever leave some interesting angles while plowing across that field! I knew I was suppose to keep my eyes on a distant mark, but learning to keep my eyes on the furrow and on the distant mark in the same operation was something that took practice.
The wise Christian lives as a wise plowman. He keeps his eyes on the furrow, but the next minute his eyes are on the distant mark. Living an active life in your community is commendable, but don’t neglect the distant mark. Watch therefore . . .
