Deer
The deer hunters never had it better. Herds are still on the increase and the coming season the most liberal in the modern history of Virginia deer hunting. The season remains open through January 5 and the hunter is permitted 2 deer, one of which may be a doe. Both sexes are legal throughout the season, but of course once a doe is bagged the sportsman becomes a buck only hunter the rest of the year.
Turkey
Turkey hunters are a breed all to themselves, but among them we note an air of cautious optimism. They guard their hunting plans and best cover like a family secret—ask one
