*Stuffing Party* Gets
TB Letters Ready
In less than two hours on last Thursday night, 64 pairs of hands made quick work of stuffing the 1962 Christmas Seal letters for the Warren-Rappahannock-Clarke Tuberculosis Assoc, in Front Royal, under direction of Mrs. Richmond Talbot and William A. Lillard, Jr.
There were counters, stuff era, runners, sealers, sorters and tiers all working on an assembly-line type of production.
Besides the 28 people who signed up as part of the TB Association, there were members from the Stonewall Home Demonstration Club, Front Royal Home Demonstration Club, Mt. View Home Demonstration Club, Jaycettes, Theta Theta Theta Club, the Future Business Leaders of John S. Mosby, five clubs from Warren County High School including Future Business Leaders, Health Careers, Future Teachers, Latin and Varsity Clubs, the Leslie Fox Keyser Sunday School Class and the Lions Club.
Now the Post Offices in the three-county area have the job of distributing a total of 5732 letters with Christmas Seals to homes. The final “mop-up” stuffing will be done at the TB office in Front Royal on Friday, Nov. 16, when new labels will be typed and affixed to send the letters on to those people who have moved.
President John T. Trumbull, at the conclusion of the stuffing party, remarked that it was one of the fastest ever conducted
