Friday afternoon May 22 about 50 people gathered at Washington Apple Growers to make an ASCS Farm Tour. The first stop on the tour was the farm of Mr. H. L. Manwaring, where the group viewed an A-2 Practice, Establishing Permanent Cover of Alfalfa, a B-l practice, improving Permanent Cover on pasture fields, A-5 Establishing Contour Strips to prevent erosion and also a C-10 Practice, Tile Drainage. The second stop on the tour was at the farm of General Daniel Noce. There they saw an a-2, & 81 a b 1 i s h i n g Permanent Cover of Alfalfa, A-7 Forest Establishment of Loblolly pine, and a B-l, Improvement of Pasture Land. The third stop was the farm of Mr. I. L. Parrish where he showed some of the same practices as the first two
