The 4-H share the fun program was Friday night at the Washington Elementary School. Over a hundred persons watched as Harold Walk er from Viewtown won the senior division talent show and a trip to 4-H short course at VPI June 22-27. The first place winner in the junior division was Bill Payne, who did two acts. One part was as a ventriloquist and the other part was a solo. Bill won a blue ribbon and a free trip to the county 4-H camp August 3-8. Twenty-five 4-H members were in the eleven junior and three senior acts. Several addition acts were cancelled because of the measles. Winners were as follows: - ' Senior Division, all blue awards. 1st. Harold Walker, Solo; 2nd Ellis Smith, Larry Jolllffe, Barry Jolliffe, Musical Trio; 3rd. Alletta Beebe, Solo. Junior Division, blue award group. 1st. Bill Payne, 2nd Warren and Bradford Beebe, duet, instrumental; 3rd. Amy Palmer, Jane Kilby, Sandra Payne, skit. Red Awards..l)Carty Moffett piano solo and dance, 2) Peggy Smith and Janice Smith, dance: Brenda Printz, solo; 3) Gail Updike and Betty Jenkins, instrument and 4) Debbie Barron, piano solo. White Awards 1) Bonnie Dod son and Debbie Jenkins, baton twirling; 2) Janet Payne, gymnastics, and 3) Susan Dodson and Joan Dodson, skit. Ellis Smith and Ann Cannon were master and mistress of ceremonies, and did an excellent job. Judges for this year’s event were: Ben Weddl© Warren County Agent, John Gray, Assistant County Agent in Page, and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Jennings, former 4-H members in Page. The 4-H tour has been tenatively set for June 30th to Washington, D. C. The 4-H tour committee was Deborah Pullen, Carty Moffett, Tommy Williams, and Earl Yancey. A new group of 4-H members this week received the five purebred yorkshire gilts in the Sears pig chain. Thdse are Steve Green, Steve Smjrh, George Menefee, C. G. Thornhill, jr. and Martha Lou O’Bannon. According to Mr. Lyne, this is the first time in about 14 years this pig project has been in the Boston-Round Hill area.
