Mrs. Willie Settle was in Charlottesville Thursday for a check up at the University of Virginia Hospital. She will return there June 2 to undergo surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Updike of Washington were visitors Sunday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Hutton. Monday afternoon Mrs. Elizabeth Shumate and Mrs. Lola Wood of Front Royal visited Mrs. Hutton. Mr. and Mrs. Maddox Tapp were dinner guests Sunday of Ben Phelps at Aspen Hill Farms, Front Royal Mrs. Charles Henry Hackley of Fairfax spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jacobs and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hackley. Mrs. Charlie Hackley and granddaughter Lucinda Baldwin accompanied Mrs. Hackley home to spend a few days. Sgt. and Mrs. Milton Dodson and family left Wednesday for Denver, Colo, after spending several weeks with relatives here. They were accompanied part of the trip by Charles Henry Hackley who returned to service duty in Oklahoma. Mrs. Florlne Smith and Mrs. Johhle Hackley were in Fairfax Monday to visit Jack Dodson who was a patient in the hospital there. Mi; Dodson has recovered sufficiently to be released Wednesday.
