vt. Gene M. Dodson of Viewtown will leave from Oakland, Calif, for Korea where he will serve 13 months duty. He entered the U. S. Army in December 1963, was inducted at Fort Jackson, S. C. and assigned to Fort Gordon, Ga. for eight weeks basic training. He attended a two weeks Leadership School and was at AIT school for eight weeks. He earned an expert rifleman's badge. Pvt. Dodson, a 1959 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Dodson, Viewtown.

Literary Club
Mr. and Mrs. William M. Carrigan entertained members of the Chevy Chase Literary Club at luncheon Monday at their home Avon Hall. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Lee R. Pennington, Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Goss, Mrs. Fenner Powell, Mrs. Eugene C. Taylor, Mrs. M. F. Merz, Mrs. John T. Powell and Mrs. R. H. Spidel.
