Local Servicemen Meet Enroute Home
John B. Browning and Galley W. Smith, III of Flint Hill arrived in New York Tuesday of last week aboard the USNS Upshur after duty overseas. Fellow townsmen and former school mates, they met on the ship without prior knowledge of each others whereabouts. Browning had spent the last two and a half years stationed at Verona, Italy and Smith the past eighteen months in Berlin. Having been released from the U. S. Army they are now at the homes of their parents Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning and Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr.
