Edward Dorsey and his friend Edward Spencer of Culpeper left August 30 for Shenandoah Valley Academy where they are attending this year. They were home for the weekend of September 12*

Col. and Mrs. Norman Wilbur, daughter Norma Lee and Mrs. Iris Brooke of Slate Mills and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Johnson and three sons of Boston attended the Virginia State Fair in Richmond on Sunday. Mrs. Ruby Jean Baber and infant son Brooke Baber of Lehman, Md. spent the past week visiting her mother Mrs. Iris Brooke and her sister Mrs. Norman Wilbur andfamily and Mrs. Edward Johnson and family. She returned to her home on Saturday.

Miss Winnie Perkins spent last week with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Tidier after completing an executive course at Strayer's Business College where she was on thq Dean’s list. She has accepted a position with a leading law firm in Washington, D. C*
