Gradually declining hog prices are expected to continue in their seasonal trend with some weekly fluctuations likely. The number of hogs and pigs on farms in the 10 Corn Belt States on September 1 was 7 per cent less than a year earlier and 5 per cent less than September 1, 1962. Frozen pork supplies on Sept. 1 were 18 per cent higher than the same date last year. Prices in Midwestern markets were $16.75-$17.50, BaltP more $17.25-$17.75, S. E. Virginia points $17.25-$18.00, Richmond $17.25-$17.75 and Virginia auctions $17.00$18.00.
