Charles w. crown Charles Wilton Brown oi Culpeper died Sunday, September 27, 1964, in aStauntor hospital at the age of 84 I He was a native of Rappahannock County, the son of the late Gabriel and Virginia Jenkiru Brown. Survivors include one son Harry Lee Brown of Orange; one brother Ellis Browr of Culpeper; one sister, Mrs, Lizzie Beahm of Culpeper ant one grandson. A funeral service was hele at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Clore Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Victor Anthony.
Pallbearers were Harry Lee Brown, Jr., Roy McClung Donald Yowell, Douglas Strint fellow, Rufus Yowell and E. B, McCord.
Mrs. Fannie S. Hackley
Mrs. Fannie Settle Hackley of Massachusetts Avenue Hills Maryland, died at the Fairlands Nursing Home on Friday, September 25, 1964, following a long period of declining health. Mrs. Hackley was a native of Castleton, Rappahannock Coun ty, and the wife of the late David Kibler Hackley. She is survived by a son, Howard H. Hackley of Maryland and two grandsons. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the Gawler Funeral Home in Wash ington, D. C., with interment and committal services following in the family section of the Fairview cemetery at Culpeper. The graveside service was conducted by Rev. George Williamson, Jr., pastor of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where the Hackley fam ily were members and attended for many years. Those serving as pallbearers were Stockton Butler, Billie Butler, Leonard Butler, Frank Butler, Edmound Burke and Thomas Winkler. The Geest Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
