The old saying, “A guilty conscience needs no accuser* proved correct Tuesday night and led to the apprehension of three Maryland men in a stolen car. Shefiff C. K, Estes and Deputy Ernest Lillard were returning to Washington after a routine business trip to the Amissville area when it appeared a vehicle ahead was try ing to out distance them. According to the sheriff, they pursued the car which turned out its lights and whipped into the dirveway at Harry Lee Smith’s Spring House Farm. In so doing the vehicle slid in the ditch. Occupants of the car were Peter Roger Green, 19, of Bradbury Heights, Md., Robert David Kittredge, 18, Forestville, Md. and Michael Joseph Sexton, 21, of Suitland, Md. Upon quest ioning, Sheriff Estes said, the trio admitted the vehicle was stolen from a shopping center parking lot near Baileys Crossroad in Fairfax county an hour before* It was a 1964 Chevrolet sport convertible. They said they were heading for California. The three men were search ed and found to have only 37 1 cents in their possession, how. ever gun cartridges were also 1 discovered. Sheriff Estes said further questioning dis. closed the three had stopped 1 at Amissville Garage and put about $3 worth of gas in the
