Baptist Home in Culpeper were Mrs. J. L. Walter, Mrs. George Kidwell, Mrs. C. A. Smith, Mrs. A. C. Latham. Guests for dinner Sunday erf Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Doyle were Mr. and Mrs. James Dunn and children and Mrs. James Smith and son Franklin of Chevy Chase, Md.., Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Jerry Smith and children, Hyattsville, Md. Miss Sue Rose, Washington, D. C. and Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Latham. The dinner was in honor of Mrs. Latham’s birthday. Mrs. Julia Curtis of Front Royal was a weekend visitor of Mrs. J. L. Walter. Col. V. John Lyle of Arlington was a visitor Saturday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne. Guests last week of Mrs. Sarah Latham and Susan were Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Fincham1 of Arlington and Mrs. Davidi Streagle of Jacksonville, N. C.' They were joined for the weekend by Sgt. Streagle and by Mrs. c. C. Cocker ill of Herndon. All returned to their re spective homes Sunday. Afternoon callers Sunday weire Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kephart arid son Mike of Herndon. Mrs. A. C. Latham had as her over night guests Saturday the Rev. and Mrs. Harold Carder and daughters, Jennifer, Beverly and Martha, of Fredericksburg. Visitors Saturday evening were Sgt. and Mrs. David Streagle of Jacksonville, N.C., Mrs. C. C. Cockerill of Herndon and Mrs. Sarah Latham and daughter Susan.

Miss Mary Hughes of Rich’ mond and Will Hughes of Thurmont, Md. were guests _ Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Doyle. Miss Hughes was an over night guest Wednesday of Misses Katie and Louise Anderson in Culpeper • and went to Richmond Thursday to accompany John A. Luttrell to Culpeper where he will make his home with Mrs. Leslie Markland. Mrs. J. Richard Latham entered Warren Memorial Hospital Front Royal Wednesday and will undergo surgery today.
