Cancer Crusade Kick-Off Meeting March 9th
The kick-off meeting of the Cancer Crusade will be held at the courthouse, Washington. Va. on March 9 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Field representative C. Q. Meadows, will be present to help formulate the plans for the fund campaign and a film will be shown. All officers of the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society, members of the-Board of Directors and workers are urged to attend the meeting.
State and County Tags
On Sale March 15
Virginia auto license tags for 19o5 will go on sale March 15 and as in the past several years will be handled by agent Gibson Wharton at Hampton Inn and Service Station. Mr. Wharton advises motor vehicle owners to purchase tags early and avoid the rush. Dead line for the purchase of tags is April IS. Rappahannock County license tags will be available at the County Treasurer's office beginning March 15 also, with April 15 the deadline for the purchase of these, according to Treasurer Robert L. Brown. County tags are $10.
