Mrs. J. Harvey Daily, accompanied by Elder and Mr^ W. T. Daily of Luray, spent last Friday with Mrs. Lula Carpenter in Brightwood. Mrs. Daily spent the weekend in Luray with the W. T. Daily’s and also visited Miss Catherine Moyer and brother Clarence Moyer and Mr. and Mrs. John Black. George W. Brown has returned to the Lee Highway Hotel after visiting Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Sawyer in Maryland, Mrs. E. W. Gore, Mrs. A. R. Partlow and son Jack Partlow of Culpeper were in Hagerstown Saturday to attend the funeral services for their brother-in-law Harry Slusher who died at Veteran’s Hospital after a three weeks illness. Mr. and Mrs. J. Earle Way. land were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. E. W, Gore at Barlow who also had as guests Mr. and Mrs. Donald Osborne of Gainesville Miss Susan Schaefer returned to Radford College Sunday night after a week-end visit with her parents Mr. and Mrs Fred Schaefer. On Saturday Mrs. Schaefer and daughtet were shopping in Culpeper.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Wilkins of Falls Church were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Pillar.

Mrs. D. D. Miller entertain ed with two tables of Bridge on Thursday evening. Those playing in addition to Mr. anc Mrs. Miller were Mrs. Henry Lee Smith, Mrs. R. V. Snead Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Sr. anc! Mrs. Moffett, Jr., Mrs. L. J Turner and Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr. Prizes for high scoring were won by Mrs. Snead, Mrs Smith and Mrs. Lea.
