Last Sunday the Sparks visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Welch and infant son Daft'id Andrew of Gainesville. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fineham visited Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Fincham and family of Remington on Sunday. Mrs. Wayne Butler and daughter Carolyn Sue of Arlington arrived Friday and is spending the week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Burke. Mr. and Mrs. Fmerson Bennett and sons Eddie and Tony of Alexandria are spending several days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. E-idmund Burke. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Carpenter of New Salem were called to Hot Springs on Wednesday due to the death of Mr. Carpenter’s father Harper Edward Carpenter. Burial was Friday in Hot Springs. Mr. Carpenter had been ill for several years with heart trouble.
