Mr. and Mrs. Edward Payne of Arlington spent the weekend with Mrs. Payne’s mother Mrs. Catherine Brown. David Lyne, a student at the University of Virginia, was a week-end guest of his parents Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and their three sons of Hamilton were at Rock Villa fora week-end with their parents Mr. and Mes. Rodes Brown. P. Lee Thornton, III and a party of students from VPI spent the week-end with his parents Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton. I ' Recent guests of Miss Nellie Atkins and family were Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Woodward, Miss Pattie Atkins and Miss Kathy Swain of Warrenton. Mrs. Maurice Manuel of Front Royal was a luncheon guest on Thu rsday of her sister Mrs. B. M. Varner. - Mrs. George W. Hawkins, iMrs. B. M. Varner and Miss Ruth Menefee were in Front Royal on Tuesday. They visited Mrs. Hawkins’ mother Mr^ G. M. Golden who is spending some time with her daughter Mrs. Clarice Golden Burke.
