The apple crop is estimated at 5,600,000 bushels, down 400,000bushels from July 1. Peach production is down 40,000 bushels from last month to a total of 640,000 bushels. On the bright side, production of small grains increased 6 percent during the past month. Record yields are indicated for wheat, oats and barley. This report includes only the outlook on crops. Livestock have been greatly affected by the drought. Shortages of pastures and feeds have caused a number of dairymen and cattlemen to reduce their herds.
