was placed against Weaver, said the officer. James Michael Cannon of Castleton is a patient in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal with injuries sustained in a car-truck collision. The crash occurred Monday on Route 729 two and a half miles south of Flint Hill at 1:50 a.m. Cannon was operating a ^>6 Fair lane Ford owned by his father, Ray T. Cannon, when he rounded a curve to the right and skidded into the left front of a *63 Chevrolet dump truck said investigating officer J. B. Willis. Operator of the truck was James Lee Compton of Amissville and Floyd B. Hitt also of Amissville was owner of the vehicle. Cannon sustained lacerations of both hands, abrasions of the left shoulder, leg and head and a concussion. He was charged with reckless driving. Two cars collided on a narrow dirt road, Route 622 four and a half miles south of Ben Venue Friday afternoon and five people were slightly injured.
According to Trooper R. M. Dodson ati6 Ford convertible operated by Ira Owens Beaty of Arlington and a *56 Chevrolet operated by Francis Eliza beth Settle were involved. Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $500 and, $400 respectively. No charges were made.
