Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Thonv as have recently returned after a months tour of England;
and Ireland. j Mrs. Ethel Tyner and Miss Nellie Atkins spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Woodward in Warrenton. Mrs. W. H. Lyne and son David were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Cabell Powers in Arlington, Mrs. J. B. Willis and son Steve spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Willis in Charlottesville while Trooper Willis attended Training School in Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Atkins and daughter, Penny Sue of Hyattsville, Md. were weekend guests of Miss Barbara Swindler. Hampson M. Keyser of Atlanta, Ga. was an overnight guest Tuesday of Dr. and Mrs. John P. Snead, Jr. Mrs. Jack Bruce spent from Wednesday until Sunday in North Miami Beach, Fla. where she visited her mother Mrs. L. W. Hawkins who has been ill. Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Eubank, Jr. were Mr. and Mrs. Gavor Foster of Flint Hill. Miss Patricia Stewart of Baltimore, Md., granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Henlng, graduated in January from the University of Alabama. Mr. and Mrs. Hening have received word from Miss Ethel Long, formerly of Rappa hannock, now at the Valley Nursing Home In Chilhowie, that she is improving from a recent illness and hopes to return to her home in St. Paul in the spring.
